Pest Control

I have finally solved my rodent problem by at long last embracing cats. I guess I hadn’t written about it, but I was getting pretty tired of battling mice armed only with a hockey stick. So it's rather sudden, but my current estimate is that I have 34 or 35 mostly adorable felines draped all over the place in my home. And I'm totally letting my hair go, too, cultivating a sort of "Crazy Cat Lady" personae. Neighbours truly leave me alone now. It's kind of nice.

But I digress; something else has come up. For the last five nights, a "ship" has been hovering in the sky over my house. High in the sky, but directly above my house. I think it’s been showing up at about 2 or 3AM. It hovers and emits an eerie low hum together with some kind of smoke or steam, while unrecognizable bits of debris seem to almost dance around its circumference. Last night I finally got a picture of it (see above). As is so often the case in these instances, clarity and detail in the photo are somewhat lacking, but there’s no mistaking what it is. Let us not fuss over the quality of my camera lens in this difficult time.

The last couple of nights have seen me out in my yard cussing and throwing tomatoes and eggs up into the air, but it’s a pitiful effort, really. I am not getting anywhere near it. I fully expect that the occupants are laughing at me.

If any of you have had this problem and can offer advice, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Mother Mary Carol Anne.

Do you have upside-down flying cakes in Sweden? Can I have just a small serving of your drugs?

Smart move to get rid of neighbor’s, ha-ha. Hair does make miracles in a strange ways. As far as flying object, it could be a hat that some of Peter Pans buddies dropped on the way home after partying in Canada. Don’t even think that it could’ve been some kind UFO. I did it once...nobody believed me and I was pronounced lunatic.
Have a nice evening :-)

Well GRASSHOPPER - - -
It certainly is a mystery to me -such strange sounds emitting from this 'thing'- not really music - but definitely a unique hummmmmmmmm!
The BB gun did nothing to help the situation-so on to Plan B - I'm going to clean out the garage, and burn everything, including my son's
1980 KTM enduro motorcycle,it's stand, all tools, decals, extra brakes, sprockets, all tools related to the above - paint cans, etc.,
there will be a tremendous explosion I am sure, hopefully bringing down the object. There will also be an ATV,complete with trailor, helmets, and riding suits.
It will be memorable,I'm sure.
If you want any of the above mentioned articles, please be here at 9:00 Am tomorrow -otherwise you are s..t out of luck.

I'm not really sure what the hell is out there, hovering above my house, maybe I'm destined to be the first Canadian to be captured by funky little men amd cloned in order that their species continue!!! If, in fact, they grab me,with my new image, I'll have them stop in Sweden and get you on board, and we can catch up on world affairs. Who knows, we may really like it in PECSA and decide to stay!!!

A potato gun might work, especially if you put dry mustard on the spuds before shooting. Do you need instructions on how to build it?

I know how you’re feeling, irritation doesn’t make it easier to do the job and solve the problem. I wonder, you’re repeatedly pointing out about the strange sounds (hummmmmm) coming down from that “thing”. I have to ask you; do you have mosque near by where you live? You know, the sound may travel in mysterious way and bounce from that thing right down to you. :-)About the “thing” getting down, did you ever contact the fire department?
As for the articles you generously offering to me, it’s tempting but unfortunately my private jet got a flat tire so there is no chance that I could have made it on time. :-)) Hope you’ll find some milder way then blasting a s..t out of it. Your neighbors might think it’s a terror attack and even sue you for that matter so be careful.

"So you folks are bush keepers"
I don't think so, but then, what is a 'bush keeper'?? If you are referring to George, you are far,far off the mark.
There is a lot of flack surrounding the controversy regarding the role Canadian troops are playing in Afghanistan - they are supposed to be a Peace Keeping force, helping the people get back to some sort of normalcy. However, every day we hear of more Taliban rebels crossing over from
\Pakistan,and engaging in warfare with our troops, and so it goes.
Many different opinions here, and Crabby has removed his Post regarding this subject. I am not happy - but a 'bush keeper' we are NOT!!!

I saw it in 2001, and was amazed at how unattractive it was!
Surely you jest - those aren't real medals? Or they are not your medals? Things are not always what they seem, and I shall remember that!!!

I have a cat . I didn't know I had mice. I came home one day and she had seriously maimed one. I ended up spending a week by the poor mouse's side with it in a box on side the furnace to keep it warm. It eventually died.

It broke my heart. I was tempted to give the cat away.

I couldn't do that either, that would have broke my heart.

Now I live with the guilt of harbouring a murdering puss.

Wow, Jay, that's very kind of you to have tried to nurse the mouse back to health.

Don't feel badly about harbouring the offending predator. Two sides to every story and all... we don't know what the mouse said to make your cat react that way.

Mice are nice when they are outside - I caught one once in a trap, bought by my tree hugger husband, that allowed the mouse to live, and be returned to the wilds.I considered dumping it in the fish pond, to see if it could swim, but I reconsidered. Didn't think Jacko (my favorite gold/black fish) would appreciate this new addition. Hmmmmmmm -
what did I ultimately do with the little rascal?
