Dear Fancy -
I actually have two secret weapons. I can only reveal one at this time.
Siam(the cat) ate Jacko(my favorite orange and black fish) yesterday morning at 10 AM. It was a pitiful sight with Jacko trying to jump out of his/her(?) grasp, with no success.
Soooooo .. I'm going to use
MOTHBALLS - and hopefully that will put an end to this crap.
If not - aha ha ha ha
Look out - weapon #2!!!
Talk to you later --

Nicole -
You do indeed watch too many Disney flicks - and I don't want to disappoint you - but no, you have not described my 'secret weapon'. However, there is a Rottweiler down the street who would be happy to accomodate me dealing with this damn cat problem, and this is on my agenda.
This dog drools just looking at squirrels, can you imagine his lust level when he eyes my rogue cats?I'm going to try mothballs first- they are a force to be reckoned with. I'll keep you informed.

Maybe you could capture the cats in a humane way, and then take them out and set them free into the wild. Since they seem to love water, Lake Erie might be ideal.

CRABBY -
OK - I will rethink the situation -However, you should know that cats can swim, they don't like to, but they absolutely can tread water, and do the breast stroke!!
And, of course, if we ever get some normal weather, ice will cover the area in question, making it quite impossible for any more stalking. Bring on winter!!!
Only two fish left-how sad. Maybe you should buy me some carp for Christmas. Thanks for your concern and imput in this matter.

I have thought it over and maybe you need to "buy them off"

who knows! Maybe their owners have not been restricting their viewing habits..they may have access to HBO and have seen one too many Sopranos.....
also maybe the other fish put a "HIT" out on Jacko...fish are tricky sorts you know.
Maybe Siam just needs to be reloctaed into the Witness Protection Program is all..

Blogger ¢rÄbG®äŠŠ said...

We may need to have a sit-down with Siam, Nicole.

Mind you, that witness protection thing sounds good. Is that in Lake Erie?

Mother Mary Carol Anne, do all of your kids have names like Blanco, Rondo, and Jacko?

Love, Crabgrasso.

More problems:
Phu Phu- the little "ghost buster" looking dog got under my new fence and fell into the pond this morning. He was fishing, and leaned over the water worn limestone rocks a bit too far - and SPLAT!!! Let me tell you, he panicked-being so small, he could not come close to getting out of this predicament.I did the right thing-rescued him and threw him back over the fence where I hope he doesn't freeze to death. He was not successful in stealing one of my gold beauties.
I think you are right about Siam -
he needs a new identity-I'm thinking about dropping him off at the Oakwood Conservation area, home to an exclusive species of ducks(Peking, etc.,) hundreds of Canada geese - perhaps he will adapt well to this new enviornment, or be pecked to death.
He didn't go for the mothballs covered in tuna, sorry crabbgrass -but you know I would never touch Puck or Daisy.
I'll keep you posted.

Crabby you are right! Maybe an intervention...get Puck and Daisy and I will round up BlackJacks and Ozzy O and maybe we can all make Siam see the light....

I will bring little goldfish crackers...maybe we can get him to go for those.

as for the little dog.. perhaps in cahoots with Siam...

Dear Fancy
Such a good description - I can almost taste this delicacy - God,it's amazing what some people will eat!!!
I really don't hate cats - it's just that I would prefer their little asses far removed from my space. Someone spread the word, and I have the 'hot spot'!!I might try throwing bricks, but I don't want to damage the liner.
Hm m m m m - maybe Nicole is right, we need a Meech Lake accord for cats. I'll get right on that.

Hej Anna-lys....
If you have any secret cat retardant information I would like to hear it-
Hope Siam(bothersome cat)"stays away from my window"(a line from a Johnny Cash song) - it's been raining for 24 hours, and my two gold beauties are swimming under the old oak tree, doing a fair amount of flopping on the grass. I could rescue them, but it is entertaining - definitely some new 'break dance' moves here!!
Hope your xmas shopping is coming along nicely - mine is not!!
OK- :) HHhhhhhhug

You guys are brilliant.
Goldfish crackers - why didn't I think of that..Purrrrrrfect!
Definitely need intervention here -and with BlackJacks, Ozzy, Daisy, Puck, and my two remaining fishies Carlo and Atta, we have a Hockey Team with amazing talent, one that would scare the most discriminating mind. A little planning and I think we've got it!!

'what is wrong with rock and roll?'
I definitely prefer that to break dancing but these fishies are on their tummies flopping left, right, doing complete 360's - break dance moves. However,to be fair, I will attempt to duplicate the artistry involved, and let you know if,in fact, they can be incorporated into a rock and roll routine.

Hi! Just dropped by to offer you my medals. Maybe you can use them to frighten the cat. I am not sure were you live. Canada happens to be the second largest nation on this planet. I am curious if you have got snow over there. In Stockholm we have 46 degrees Fahrenheit. We haven't had snow since november 11th. C'est triste!

Bonjour General Nicholas Bourbaki -
Merci pour dropping in to visit Canada!!
And merci pour offering your medals, which I covet - however, with the drop in temperature, the pond is now frozen and the bastard cat cannot stalk the fish.
I live in Ontario, a province in Canada, located in the middle of the country. A river forms the
southern border with the United States of America-and we cross freely to shop and visit family.
However, since 9/11, restrictions are in place and it is a little more complicated to get in and out of the country.
It is snowing at the moment, great huge beautiful flakes - hope it continues, although driving is at times a nightmare. With a V-8 Ford Mustang, I need to supplement weight in the back end-if not, I do donuts, spins, 360's,it can be somewhat stressful, but fun!!!
I'm having trouble getting into your blog - it is not accepting my
user name and password.
what's with that???

I know where Canada is located. I wondered about snow, because I saw that cold winds were comming from north. There are freezing degrees all over your country, except at the westrn and eastern coasts.
You should be directed to my site, just clicking on my "NB". If it doesn't work, I cannot explain why.
Bon soir!

Nicole -
Thanks for the birthday wishes - I have tried unsuccessfully for quite some time to give my B/Ds away, but to no avail. I spent the day in Michigan with my sister, drank red wine, went to a fantastic Italian restaurant for dinner, spent the evening listening to Christmas music (you have to hear Il Divo's) and eating decadent cholcolate. I'm basically a happy person at this time. So bring on Christmas. I will be 'doing' the tree thing this week-end Nicole, so don't despair -I'm with you!!
